Have you ever done a picture you thought was ok, but then you look at it again a few years later and wish you'd done a better job of it?
Well that's me a lot of the time, so when I got the chance to draw Jonah being swallowed by the great fish for the Big Rescue Bible, I took an older drawing I'd done, JONAH , and re-drew it, making the fish a bit funkier and having Jonah freaking out a bit more.
I love imagining what the fish in the story of Jonah actually looked like. God could have been breeding it for a hundred years just to fulfil its purpose in that one moment.
What do you think? I'm much happier with the newer version…… maybe in another couple of years I'll re-do it again!

Anyone fancy the "great fish" that swallowed Jonah being a megalodon shark (as in the movie "The Meg")? Most translations of the Old Testament I've read indicate that it was a fish (which a shark is) rather than a whale (which is a mammal, like porpoises).
